Four Unforgettable Nights

The fifth edition of Jazz Point Ibiza ran from 10 to 13 October 2024, bringing together an exceptional cast of international and local artists across four days and multiple iconic venues around the island.

The festival opened on Thursday evening at WOM Radio Café in Santa Eulalia with an Opening Party led by Ibiza's own Andrés Coll — multi-instrumentalist and xylophonist — joined by a stellar ensemble including Su Terry, Charles Owens, Rob Clearfield, Asante Santi Debriano, Bethany Clearfield, Albino Mbie, and Pere Navarro. The night continued at The Standard, Ibiza, where the rooftop hosted the Albino Mbie & Asante Santi Debriano Duo at 19:30, followed by a late-night session at the Jara Restaurant with Andrés Coll and the full international cast.

Friday night moved to the historic Teatro Ibiza in Ibiza Town, where Su Terry and Charles Owens headlined a world-class sextet — a pairing of two of the most celebrated voices in American jazz.

Saturday offered a double bill: an afternoon concert at Parco Ibiza in San Antonio featuring the Albino Mbie Sextet, followed that evening by the Rob Luft Quintet at Teatro Ibiza. The London-based guitarist — BBC New Generation Artist and Kenny Wheeler Prize recipient — brought his acclaimed third album to life on stage.

The festival closed on Sunday at noon with a free open-air concert at Can Ventosa, where the Big Band Ciutat d'Eivissa, directed by Vicent Tur, performed a programme of classic jazz standards to a public audience.
