A Festival in Full Voice

The third edition of Jazz Point Ibiza ran from 13–16 October 2022, elevating the festival's ambition with a new main venue — Teatro Ibiza — and an expanded programme spread across four days and multiple locations around the island.

The festival opened on October 13th with an elegant musical dinner at Pikes Ibiza, featuring the five-piece French ensemble Leïla Duclos & Friends. The two headline evenings at Teatro Ibiza followed: October 14th brought the Jesse van Ruller Quintet (Netherlands), a Thelonious Monk Prize-winning guitarist, while October 15th featured the Félix Rossy Sextet (Spain), led by a trumpet player celebrated for his fresh and distinctive sound.

On Sunday October 16th, the programme shifted to the Conservatori Catalina Bufí in Ibiza Town for a more intimate afternoon concert. Dr. David Schroeder (USA) and Antonio Figura (Italy) opened with a duo set, followed by the Muriel Grossmann Quartet joined by harpist Alina Bzhezhinska (Poland). The day closed with a lively jam session — "The Giants of Jazz" — at WOM Radio Café in Santa Eulalia, bringing many of the weekend's headliners together on one stage.

Masterclasses were again offered on October 15th at Can Ventosa, led by Dr. David Schroeder and Antonio Figura in an open session for all instruments.

The 2022 edition was supported by the Ajuntament d'Eivissa, Consell d'Eivissa, and Conservatori Catalina Bufí, alongside Ibiza Music Agency and J. Chriss & Company of New York.
