Joan Carles Marí

At age 12, Joan fell in love with the drums. Since then, he has performed concerts all over the world, including Korea, Canada, Chile, Russia, Azerbaijan, Hungary, England, Germany, Norway, Denmark… as well as throughout Spain.

With an advanced degree in Contemporary Music and Jazz, he is known for playing a wide variety of styles, ranging from flamenco to rock, including funk, jazz, and various classical ensembles.

He has collaborated on more than 30 albums, making him a highly sought-after session musician.

He has performed, collaborated, and recorded with artists as diverse as Rosalía, Albino Mbie, Martín Méndez (Opeth), Abr Rábade, Josiah Woodson (Beyoncé), Masa Kamaguchi, ‘Enriquito’, Su Terry, David Pastor, Carlos Sarduy, Enrique Oliver, Doug Weiss, Tal Cohen, Roger Mas, Andrés Coll, Niño de Elche, Clara Peya, Jesús “Bachi”, Miguelo Delgado, Omar Alcaide, Pere Navarro, and the Vallès Symphony Orchestra.
